Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two day visit to Gujarat. On the second day, today he inaugurated many development projects.
During his visit, he addressed several public rallies over a plethora of topics surrounding Gujarat.
First day of PM Modi’s visit in Gujarat
Modi arrived at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (SVP) airport in the evening of Sept 26. He addressed a gathering of over 20,000 BJP women leaders and members in the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Abhinandan’ programme organised by the state BJP at the GUJSAIL building compound.
Addressing the programme, he congratulated the women present there on the passing of the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Second day of PM Modi’s visit in Gujarat
Today, he attended an event at Ahmedabad’s Science City, which marked the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Summit.
In a speech, PM Modi mentioned that the Vibrant Gujarat Summit began 20 years back on this day. He was quick to mention the previous central government’s inability to co-operate with the event.
He highlighted how the summit became a channel for the redevelopment of Gujarat. It also boosted the state’s self-confidence on the global stage.
Modi then headed to Chhota Udepur, where he inaugurated several development projects worth ₹5,206 cr which include the provision of village Wi-Fi facilities in 22 districts.
Additionally, he inaugurated projects worth ₹4,505 cr under the Mission Schools of Excellence initiative. Among these projects are a new Navodaya Vidyalaya in Dahod, built at a cost of ₹23 cr, and an FM radio studio costing ₹10 cr.
