IAS Dhaval Patel wrote a letter to the education secretary, Vinod Rao, on June 16 and stated that the standard of education in Chhotaudepur schools at the time of his inspection was poor during the ‘Shala Praveshotsav’ (school entrance festival). Patel said, “These poor tribal children have no other option for getting an education. We are doing them an injustice by providing such a low level of education.”

-The letter included detailed pointers to the low level of education in six village schools in Chhotaudepur

-Low level of education in Timla primary school

-Students in class eight cannot read and write

-One-digit calculations are difficult for students

-Found good conditions of education and school in Rangpur Primary school

-The Education of Bodgam, Vadhvan, and Jamli primary schools is in an extremely pitiful condition

Minister Rishikesh Patel replies

Responding to his letter, the spokesperson of the state government, Dr Rishikesh Patel, said that Gujarat is a geographical region where there are beaches, forests, mountains, and plains. The government is trying hard to provide the best education in all such areas. Patel also said that instructions have been given to Vidhya Samiksha Kendra, Gandhinagar, in this regard.
